Mission with 4 p’s: the Amurang foundation aims to Provide underpriviliged children and youngsters in North Sulawesi with a Permanent Perspective on their future in a Personal way.

The statutes of the amurang foundation define as their purpose:
To improve the wellbeing of underpriviliged children and youngsters in Amurang and surroundings. The first necessity was building a home for the care of thirty children who escaped Poso. In 2006 this home was finished. By giving them a home many underpriviliged children and youngsters are ensured of good lodging. A volunteer advised to also optimize the educational facilities. That is why the foundation supported the building of a new primary school.

Interns of Friesland College and NHL Stenden give workshops and lessons and twice teachers of English have been there for three months. In the end of 2010 teachers of Amstel institution furnished a techniques classroom. For the sustainability of this project they arranged a masterclass for the teachers a year later. The coaching project 'Hari Depan Saya' shows the teachers how to explore the school leavers' talents and stimulate them to continue studying. Study fund Amurang annually supports fifteen students with a scholarship and twelve pupils with a study contribution.

In 2012 the amurang foundation’s work area was extended to tondano, which is in the neighbourhood. In 2015 a new home had been opened there as well.
